Overview
The National University of Singapore is Singapore's oldest university. It is the largest university in the country in terms of student enrollment and curriculum offered.The National University of Singapore was formed with the merger of the University of Singapore and Nanyang University in 1980.

World-Rankings
NUS is consistently ranked amongst the best universities in Asia and the world. In 2010 the QS World University Rankings ranked NUS 31st in the world. It was ranked the 3rd Asian University by the QS Asian University Rankings for 2010, which employs a different methodology from their global rankings.
The 2010-11 Times Higher Education World University Rankings ranked NUS 34th in the world, and the 4th in Asia.The Academic Ranking of World Universities places NUS in the 101-150 positions for their 2010 tables. NUS was ranked 10-18 in the Asia/Pacific region by ARWU.The NUS MBA has been ranked 23rd in the world in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2011.
